Abstract

This book review is written for the volume Ana Maria Preoteasa (2018) Multiple facets of precarious work in Romania, Bucharest: ProUniversitaria Publishing House. The book addresses precarious work through its characteristics as atypical employment while in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis are focus on main sources of vulnerability for rural population, youth, Roma minorities in general, Roma women in particular. The added value of the book is the mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods in emphasizing employment related factors for one of the most vulnerable groups in inserting the labor market in Romania: youth from the social protection system, Roma population and Roma women.
